Business Development Manager - FMCG Equipment Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our professional Sales Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's business in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers, including site audits and customer training.
  • Identify, monitor, and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Help customers maintain products to maximise the total cost of ownership and minimise production downtime.
  • Research and develop opportunities to grow new business.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
  • Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data to grow turnover, volume, and profitability.
  • Assist in developing and executing the company's Sales & Marketing Strategy and Group Accounts.
  • Identify and manage threats and opportunities to the company's business.

Requirements:
  • Higher educational qualifications or relevant experience.
  • Mechanical engineering qualifications or relevant experience/technical bias.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Experience in the manufacturing area of FMCG sector or similar would be advantageous.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary: £35,000 to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience).
