Location: Fareham

Pay Grade: Scale 6, £34,783.00 - £36,772.00 per annum which includes a £4000.00 market supplement.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Transport Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Police Fleet by inspecting and maintaining vehicles, providing critical and technical support to the front line service of Hampshire Constabulary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Provide technical support to the front line service of Hampshire Constabulary
  • Carry out servicing and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles
  • Conduct vehicle road tests and basic vehicle fits to ensure they are ready for police use

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
