Job Title: Academic Learning Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil on a 1-to-1 basis, as well as working with small groups in the classroom setting.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract ending on 31st March 2025, working 10 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 1.15pm - 3.15pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children in a school setting, providing assistance and guidance where needed.
  • Employ strong behaviour management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Be able to support pupils' medical needs and be willing to deal with intimate care requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs.
  • Demonstrate patience, calmness, and flexibility at all times.
  • Maintain a commitment to high achievement from pupils and oneself.
  • Exhibit excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent.
  • Hold good knowledge of ICT.
  • Show flexibility and a good sense of humour.
  • Be able to use initiative and undertake training to support individual needs.
