Additive Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our team at McLaren Group. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality components on time and in full, while working to best practice and embracing continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare machines for builds, conduct calibrations, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Process complete component platforms through automated wash machines and ultrasonics, and prepare components for hand finishing.
- Hand finish components to exacting standards using technical drawings or CAD annotations.
- Conduct fundamental inspection of all components before dispatch to the next operation.
- Dispatch car components and kitted aero programmes using departmental MRP software.
- Evaluate the assigned schedule and communicate potential delays to the Shift Lead, supporting alternative plans to minimize the effect on delivery.
- Identify build faults, contain and inform the programmers and/or Shift Lead.
- Work efficiently within manufacturing as part of an established team.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of various additive manufacturing technologies, such as SLA, SLS, FDM, Polyjet, and post-processing techniques.
- Experience with rotary finishing tools and Microsoft Office products.
- A high level of dexterity to handle and hand finish delicate components.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
