About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the McLaren Group as a skilled Additive Manufacturing Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality components and driving performance on track throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and load machines, hand finish, inspect, pack, and kit components with diligence, playing a crucial part in the demanding task of building a new race car.
  • Deliver upgrade packages and continued aero development during the race season.
  • Use your skills and experience in additive manufacturing to manufacture car components, tooling, pit equipment, and parts for our wind tunnel model.
  • Collaborate with the Additive Manufacturing Shift Lead(s) to deliver high-quality components on time and in full, while working to best practice and embracing continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of various additive manufacturing technologies, such as SLA, SLS, FDM, Polyjet, and post-processing techniques like wash out, automated de-powdering, hand finishing, and vapour smoothing.
  • Experience with rotary finishing tools.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office products, Materialise Magics, and MRP systems.
  • A high level of dexterity to handle and hand finish delicate components.
  • Participation in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
