Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic nursing team at our private hospital in Tunbridge Wells. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our nursing team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the nursing team on a daily basis, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Troubleshoot and raise concerns to the Ward Manager, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions.
  • Support the nursing team and students, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and development.
  • Delegate work to others, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Make safe discharge decisions in collaboration with our consultant team, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Deliver individualized nursing care and procedures to the highest standards, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties delegated by the Ward Manager or team leader to ensure the smooth running of the department and optimal patient care.

Requirements:

  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • A minimum of 1 year senior nursing experience, with a strong background in ward management.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the nursing team.
  • Autonomous decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
