We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join our team at Riverside. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our Mechanical and Electrical Systems are compliant with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, including the management of relevant contracts and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Compliance Manager in the development, implementation, and review of the Compliance Management model and Mechanical and Electrical Systems policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Provide advice and expertise on Mechanical and Electrical Systems to colleagues across the organization, including the lifecycle of buildings, acquisition, design and build, occupation, refurbishment, demolition, and disposal.
- Effectively monitor and report on Mechanical and Electrical Systems compliance contracts, implementing performance frameworks and dealing with under-performance.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data retained in relation to relevant contracts, to enable cyclical and ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Analyse, assess, and interpret Mechanical and Electrical Systems Risk Assessment recommendations, acting as decision-maker on risk acceptance and mitigation.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the effective and timely programme of Mechanical and Electrical Systems inspections, servicing, repairs, and risk mitigation activity.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, providing advice, support, and training, and building constructive working relationships.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of relevant budgets, authorizing low-value payments and ensuring expenditure is managed in line with financial controls.
- Maintain accurate Mechanical and Electrical compliance records, ensuring the integrity and quality of data.
- Provide clear, supportive, and accurate advice to stakeholders on Mechanical and Electrical safety standards and compliance.
We are looking for someone with:
- In-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems within Social Housing, including government and industry guidance, British standards, and building regulations.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering effective servicing and maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of mix tenure properties.
- Effective contract management skills, including managing service and maintenance contracts.
- Clear understanding of risk management and compliance.
- Experience of successfully managing budgets in line with agreed financial protocols.
- Evidence of using sound judgment when making effective decisions.
- Effective stakeholder management, both internally and externally, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
- Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the business.
- Results-driven with strong analytical skills, including the ability to critically analyze complex information, and experience of providing meaningful management information.
- Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to drive change.
- Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
