Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide individualized support to students, reinforcing learning objectives and promoting independent thinking. They will work closely with the class teacher to deliver a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Track student progress and developmental markers.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree or relevant Level 2 qualification in childcare.
  • Have experience or knowledge of supporting individuals with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs, or speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Be a flexible and dynamic practitioner with a genuine desire to work in the education sector.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
