Job Opportunity: Corporate Credit Controller

We are seeking a talented and collaborative Corporate Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Ashford. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations and ensuring the timely payment of invoices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of accounts, ensuring adherence to contractual payment terms and credit limits, mitigating risk and potential bad debts. You will also be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer accounts, including payment terms and credit limits.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and prevent bad debts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet targeted KPIs and departmental procedures.
  • Receive and record incoming calls and queries, and escalate to management as necessary.
  • Query management - provide copies of invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes, and liaise internally to progress any queries preventing payment.
  • Attend internal and external customer meetings.
  • Escalate to management any internal or payment issues with customers.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices to positively impact business results.

Requirements:

  • No previous finance experience is required, as training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with external customers and internal colleagues at all levels.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
