Waste Collection Driver

We are seeking a skilled Waste Driver to join our team in Swindon, working closely with a Local Authority on a 3-month contract with potential for extension. If you have a valid HGV licence and experience in refuse collection, please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain allocated vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Collect waste from streets and roads, following a specified schedule and ensuring all waste is collected in a safe and proper manner.
  • Complete and submit daily paperwork to supervisors, including non-collection reports and reasons.
  • Update in-cab technology with non-collection information and reasons.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, as necessary, and complete associated paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV licence.
  • Experience in refuse collection and recycling.
  • Ability to operate electronic ICT systems.
  • NVQ 2 waste management or equivalent qualification.

  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
