Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational management to our residential children's services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and achieving excellent outcomes for young people. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, young people, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide strategic direction and operational management to our residential children's services.
  • To work closely with the manager to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of young people.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for care staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working within children's residential care.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
