About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Therapeutic Learning Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Thatcham, West Berkshire.

As a Therapeutic Learning Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support and guidance due to social, emotional and mental health needs.

You will implement therapeutic techniques, create a safe space for students to express themselves, and identify potential triggers leading to challenging behaviour.

You will also work collaboratively with class teachers to tailor learning material and provide positive reinforcement to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing therapeutic techniques (assisted by educational psychologists)
  • Creating a safe space for students to express themselves

Requirements

  • Experience working with vulnerable students
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic approaches
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 3 :30
  • Based in Thatcham, West Berkshire

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
