Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Decontamination Specialist will include:

• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization within the decontamination area, adhering to UHBW's strict policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular equipment inspections and performing maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and quality of service.
• Providing clear guidance and support to new staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
• A background in decontamination or a related field, with experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• A basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• The ability to spend long periods standing and handling equipment with manual dexterity.
• Literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSEs at level A-C or equivalent in three core subjects (desirable).
