About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our Fleet Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the scheduling of maintenance and repairs to ensure compliance with manufacturer parameters and operational requirements.
- Process invoices and purchase orders, allocating costs to the business and resolving any queries.
- Provide technical assistance and support to drivers and operators, minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate the best value for money and seek cost reductions while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor roadside breakdowns, including refrigeration, tyres, and ancillary equipment.
- Offer maintenance solutions to drivers and operators, prioritizing vehicle availability and minimizing off-road time.
- Provide technical support to other team members and customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HGV vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Strong supplier management and cost control skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Confident, polite, and team-oriented, with proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of £30,000pa - £33,990pa, based on experience.
- A 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 08:30hrs - 17:00hrs.
