Psychodynamic Counsellor for LGBTQ+ Individuals

We are seeking a skilled Psychodynamic Counsellor to join our team at WhereToTalk, supporting individuals in the London Borough of Merton who define as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning. The ideal candidate will have experience working with marginalised communities and a strong understanding of psychodynamic principles.

The Counsellor will provide up to 16 sessions to individuals over 18 living, working, or studying in the London Borough of Merton. This role requires administrative procedures, following policies and protocols, liaison with mental health services, and making onward referrals where necessary. A working knowledge of psychodynamic thinking is crucial for this position.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000 per annum, based on national averages for similar positions in London. As a community charity, WhereToTalk offers a supportive work environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
