SEMHA Support Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMHA Support Teacher to join our team. As a SEMHA Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your expertise and passion for teaching will enable you to create a stable and supportive environment that helps students overcome self-esteem issues and engage positively with their education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored education to small classes of students with SEMHA needs, ensuring each child is supported in their learning journey.
  • Create a stable and supportive environment that helps students overcome self-esteem issues and engage positively with their education.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other agencies to facilitate positive behavioural changes and choices in students.
  • Prepare for the transition to a new, purpose-built academy and contribute to the development of our expanding provision.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and utilise innovative teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of the students.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record as an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Experience working with students with SEMHA needs and managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong commitment to improving life chances for young people, regardless of background.
  • Passion for teaching and dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
