Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Utilise Recruitment.

Location: Based in Kent, with a competitive salary of £40,000

About the Role: As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and developing a workshop and field team to achieve set targets. You will ensure adherence to defined guidelines, processes, and procedures, supporting planning and allocation of resources and budgets for engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Team Development: Motivate and develop workshop and field team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure all team members adhere to defined guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Resource Allocation: Support planning and allocation of resources and budgets for engineering projects.
  • Training and Tools Management: Own and manage the training and tools log for all team members.
  • Engineering Coordination: Coordinate engineering activities according to organisational guidelines.
  • Support and Approval: Support overtime and expenses claims review and approval.
  • Audit and Review: Perform work-in-progress and post-completion audits.

Requirements:

  • Electrical/Technical Background: A background in electrical or technical fields is essential.
  • Initiative and Organisation: The ability to use your own initiative and be organised is crucial.
  • Self-Starter: A self-starter who is keen to pick up new skills is required.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving ability is necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority are required.
  • Administration and Communication: Excellent administration, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • People Management and Leadership: People management and leadership experience is required.
  • Project Planning: Ability to interpret and use project planning software, including AutoCAD knowledge.
