Job Title: Apprentice Transport Planner

Trinity Business Support is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team based in Doncaster. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective planning and execution of transportation operations across the UK and Europe.

Job Purpose:

To ensure the efficient movement of goods on vehicles, the effective planning of collection and distribution of customer goods, and the achievement of our company's objective to be recognized as best-in-class in overall service within the UK/European haulage network.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and optimize routes to ensure the most efficient distribution of work for our haulage drivers.
  2. Monitor and record damage to vehicles, property, or machinery, and report any issues to the transport manager and workshop.
  3. Ensure drivers are aware of the importance of safe and secure loading of goods.
  4. Coordinate with sites and customers to agree schedules and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  5. Monitor progress of drivers and make adjustments as needed to meet service criteria and driving hours.
  6. Input driver information and work schedules electronically through the Mandata system and Alliance.
  7. Monitor and answer emails from external customers and within the Katem group.
  8. Maintain a good working relationship with other departments within the company.

  3. Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday.

Additional Notes:

Laptop and phone provided. 20 days holidays + all bank holidays.
