Forklift Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Service Engineer to join our East Field Service Engineers team at Stacatruc. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, servicing, and modifying a range of material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform services, maintenance, and overhauls on a variety of material handling products, including gas, diesel, and electric powered forklift trucks.
- Conduct thorough examinations and preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubricating steering and lifting equipment.
- Check voltages and fluid levels of forklift trucks using meters and hydrometers.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide prompt customer service to minimize downtime.
- Liaise with our parts team to ensure appropriate stock levels are held on the company vehicle.
- Work on mobile machinery, including brakes, steering, wheels, lift chains, and other components.
- Full UK driving license.
- City and Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related field.
- Diagnostic computer skills.
- Qualified in a related field or similar years' experience.
- Able to work unsupervised as required.
- Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in heavy goods/plant machinery/automotive.
