Job Summary

FLEXISTAFF SOLUTIONS LIMITED is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet brake press machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate bending angles and dimensions
  • Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job to optimize production efficiency
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate bending angles and dimensions, and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of press brake operations
  • Proficient in using hand tools, such as grinders and assembly tools
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of tooling selection for different bending requirements
  • Ability to weld sheet metal components is a plus
  • Experience in fabricating sheet metal parts is preferred
Working Conditions

This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. The pay rate is £15 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
