Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Royal Free Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessment and management of cases within the Neurodevelopment Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Consultant and junior doctor colleagues to provide psychiatric assessment and management of cases within the Neurodevelopment Service.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the multidisciplinary team and offer consultation to other professionals and agencies.
  • Facilitate the development of the team and wider service, with a particular focus on ADHD, Autism, and contributing to the daytime on-call rota.
  • Be part of the clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and offer consultation to other professional and agencies.

Requirements:

  • On the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Registered with the GMC and within 6 months (at the scheduled time of the advisory appointments committee) of being accepted for the specialist register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Fellowship / Membership of relevant Royal College of Psychiatry Section 12 approved / equivalent.
  • Level 3 child Protection training.
  • Member of Medical Defence organisation.
  • Recent experience with CAMHS emergencies.
  • Experience in Children's Safeguarding.
