Placement Officer Job Description

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Placement Officer to join our team. As a Placement Officer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing private and voluntary placements for children and young people aged 0-25.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of placement finding, including responding to duty inquiries, managing the duty inbox, and receiving and managing referral forms.
  • Ensure the profile of the child/young person provides a balanced portrait that reflects their needs.
  • Make recommendations to the Strategic Placements and Planning Manager regarding suitability and availability of placements.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and manage the correct distribution list.
  • Manage matching and shortlisting offers, chair matching meetings, and negotiate costs.
  • Ensure a contract is in place for the placement.
