As a Production Line Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the production line and motivating a small team of people to achieve productivity targets, ensure health and safety requirements, and maintain the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

You will spend half of your working day working alongside your team members on the production line, making this position suitable for an individual who is adept at working in a fast-paced environment, has a hands-on approach, and can deliver results.

Key Duties:

  • Manage production lines and labor to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.
  • Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
  • Effectively maximize production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
  • Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company Health, Safety, and Quality regulations.
  • Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
  • Attend team leader meetings.
  • Assist in the training and development of new starters.
  • Act as a role model for best practice.
  • Monitor, control, and minimize waste.
  • Play an active part in Continuous Improvement.
  • Conduct RTW and disciplinary interviews as required.
  • Participate in the company's appraisal system.
  • Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.

Requirements:

  • Food Manufacturing/Packaging background is essential for this role.
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety obligations, although training will be provided.
  • Basic IT skills are required as you'll be using the integrated management system.
  • Attention to details.
