The Production Line Leader will be responsible for overseeing the production line and motivating a team of employees to achieve productivity targets, maintain health and safety standards, and ensure high-quality products.
This role requires an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, has a hands-on approach, and can deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production lines and labor to meet planned volume and commercial targets, adhering to QA and safety standards.
- Ensure final products meet client specifications and quality standards.
- Maximize production efficiency to meet hourly and daily plans.
- Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and systems according to company procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hygienic audits and GMP practices.
- Attend team leader meetings and participate in training and development of new starters.
- Act as a role model for best practices and monitor waste minimization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and conduct RTW and disciplinary interviews as required.
- Participate in the company's appraisal system and drive personal development through training and work-based experience.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with food manufacturing and packaging is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Knowledge of health and safety obligations, although training will be provided.
- Basic IT skills are required for using the integrated management system.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
