Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Leaders in Care. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering Safe and Quality Care: You will be responsible for delivering safe and quality care to patients during their perioperative phase, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care and attention.
  • Contributing to Quality Improvement: You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, working closely with our team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Preparing Surgical Equipment: You will assemble, check, and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for various procedures, ensuring that everything is in working order and ready for use.
  • Supporting the Perioperative Team: You will work closely with our perioperative team to ensure that patients receive seamless care throughout their hospital stay, from admission to discharge.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Nurse/ODP: You must be registered as a Nurse/ODP with the NMC or HCPC.
  • Surgical First Assistant Qualification: You must hold a Surgical First Assistant qualification.
  • Orthopaedic Experience: You must have experience working in an orthopaedic setting.
