Environmental and Sustainability Manager

Anderselite is seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our team in the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a major construction project and contribute to the company's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement environmental management systems to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
  2. Collaborate with the project team to ensure that procurement documentation reflects the project's sustainability requirements.
  3. Conduct regular site surveillances and audits to ensure that projects and supply chain comply with environmental regulations.
  4. Lead initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and waste, and ensure that goods and services are ethically procured.
  5. Communicate client sustainability requirements to project teams and ensure delivery of environmental assessments.
  6. Monitor and report project performance against client requirements.
  7. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance sustainability performance.
  8. Develop and deliver training on environmental management and sustainability for project staff and supply chain.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in a construction environmental or sustainability role.
  2. Strong knowledge of environmental assessment methods, including BREEAM and LEED.
  3. Ability to technically review and advise on sustainability performance and environmental assessments.
  4. Experience in managing delivery of sustainability requirements from preconstruction to practical completion.
