At Insight Enterprises, we are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Professional to join our team in the Environmental management and sustainability function. As an Environmental Sustainability Professional, you will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, monitoring environmental quality, designing and implementing environmental policies and programs, and providing technical advice and guidance to stakeholders and clients. You will also collaborate with other environmental professionals, such as engineers, scientists, lawyers, and regulators, to ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental assessments, inspections, and investigations to identify and evaluate environmental issues and risks.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data and prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain and fill in online portal for carbon footprint reporting.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans, programs, and strategies to prevent, reduce, or mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Provide environmental training, education, and awareness to staff and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and operations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders, such as government agencies, industry associations, community groups, and NGOs, on environmental matters.
  • Research and keep abreast of current and emerging environmental trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, policies, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards, such as ISO 14001, NEPA, and CEQA.
  • Ability to conduct environmental research, analysis, and reporting using various software and tools.
  • Strong networking and people skills. Ability to exercise diplomacy and build partnerships and consensus, within teams and among other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines.
  • Clear evidence of working in a pressured, time-sensitive environment.
  • Holds relevant professional qualifications.
