The Role

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong background in animal science, nutrition, and formulation. You'll be responsible for supporting our nutritionists and food scientists in the development of new and existing products, leading our nutritional testing process, and conducting research into ingredients and pet nutrition.

You'll also contribute to nutrition-led research projects and provide formulation support to other teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support recipe formulation for new and existing product development
  • Lead our nutritional testing process to ensure our recipes meet FEDIAF and company standards
  • Conduct research into ingredients, pet nutrition, and pet food processing to support products, initiatives, and research studies
  • Gain and maintain a good understanding of the regulatory requirements of pet food and work with our Quality and Regulatory team to ensure all products meet requirements
  • Provide nutritional and formulation support for other teams across the organization
  • Contribute to nutrition-led research projects
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level (Masters preferred) in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or a related field
  • Sound knowledge of nutrition and formulation
  • Highly motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Good command of maths
  • Functional ability with spreadsheets
