Community Learning Disability Nurse

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced RNLD with community nursing experience to join our multi-professional Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) in East Lothian. The CLDT provides a specialist service to children and adults across the lifespan with learning disabilities in East Lothian.
The post holder should be highly motivated, possess excellent interpersonal and team-working skills, and be a highly effective communicator. A reasonable level of IT skills is essential. Additional training will be provided in line with service requirements.
We will fully support disabled candidates, and candidates with long-term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practices.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing care to children and adults with learning disabilities in East Lothian.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-professional CLDT to deliver a high-quality service.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse Learning Disability (RNLD) qualification.
- Experience of community nursing and working with people with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reasonable level of IT skills.
