Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer

Eden Brown Education is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join a leading further education college in Greater Manchester.

This is a full-time, temporary opportunity where you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning, development, and student support.

The successful candidate will be required to teach on a range of courses at level 2 and level 3, including full-time, part-time, and apprentices.

You'll be responsible for planning, delivering, and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles, while assessing learners' progress in College or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programmes to students at level 2 and level 3.
  2. Contribute to the development and planning of curriculum content.
  3. Assess learners' progress and devise assessment processes.
  4. Provide student support and guidance.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve curriculum goals.

Requirements:

  1. A recognised teaching qualification or good proven teaching/training experience.
  2. Industry experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  3. A minimum level 3 Mechanical Engineering related qualification.
  4. Literacy and Numeracy to at least level 2.
  5. Experience teaching Mechanical Engineering to level 3.
  6. Fitting, milling, and turning experience.
  7. Availability on a full-time basis.
  8. An Assessor's IV qualification is beneficial but not essential.

A current DBS check will be required for this role. If you do not have a current DBS check, the college will apply on your behalf.
