Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our team at a leading further education college in Greater Manchester.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, temporary opportunity where you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning, development, and student support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and develop teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
  • Assess learners' progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.
  • Teach on a range of courses at level 2 and level 3, including full-time, part-time, and apprentices.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification or good proven teaching/training experience.
  • Industry experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum level 3 Mechanical Engineering related qualification.
  • Literacy and Numeracy to at least level 2.
  • Experience teaching Mechanical Engineering to level 3.
  • Fitting, milling, and turning experience.
  • Availability on a full-time basis.
  • An Assessor's IV qualification is beneficial but not essential.
