Job Summary:
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a motivated and resilient individual to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker in a 6 bed residential service. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age
- Maintain a homely, friendly culture and environment in the homes
- Deal with challenging behaviours when needed
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being
- Maintain a safe environment for young people
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals involved in the young people's lives
Requirements:
- Full driver's licence
- Ability to commute to the service
- Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or in a similar setting is desirable
- NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable
