About the Role

ISP is seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our fostering services, you will provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, enabling and monitoring their practice and ensuring their compliance with regulatory standards
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, and foster parents, as well as other professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders, to ensure full participation in assessment, planning, review, and decision-making relating to safeguarding and child protection
  • Direct support of foster parents within a realistic caseload, enabling a high level of supervision and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people

Requirements

  • Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Previous experience of children and families social work, with a focus on therapeutic models of child care
  • Ability to provide a high standard of report writing and work to strict deadlines
  • Full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car
