Job Title: Locum Consultant in Adult Cardiac Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Adult Cardiac Surgery to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and reporting on cardiovascular MR, as well as presenting cross-sectional imaging at multidisciplinary team meetings. This is a fixed-term, locum post for 12 months, suitable for candidates with completed senior training in paediatric cardiology, adult cardiology or radiology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and report on cardiovascular MR
  • Present cross-sectional imaging at multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Work collaboratively with the Cardiovascular MR Unit team
Requirements:
  • GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice
  • MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent
  • CCT/CCST in Adult Cardiology, Paediatric Cardiology, Radiology or equivalent training and experience
  • Higher degree - PhD, MD or equivalent
Experience/Knowledge:
  • Extensive clinical experience in MR in congenital heart disease in children and adults, and in paediatric acquired heart disease
