Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial department. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the cost planning and commercial management of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Quantity Surveyors in the preparation of interim and final accounts.
  • Support in the receipt of payments once interim accounts are certified.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day commercial and contract activities.
  • Support in sub-contract procurement to ensure best value.
  • Develop an understanding of NEC 3 and JCT Conditions of Contract.
  • Assist in gathering information for preparation of compensation events/variations.
  • Develop skills in programme management and sequencing of construction activities.
  • Ability to undertake site measures when required.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Logical and lateral thinking.
