About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with complex spinal cord injuries.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for patients with spinal cord injuries.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  3. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the growth and improvement of our physiotherapy service.

Person Specification
  • HCPC Registration
  • Physiotherapy Degree
  • Completion of questions within person specification
  • Attendance at post graduate courses in related fields
Skills and Knowledge
  • Participation in QI and audit projects
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development, and reflective practice
  • A current and well-presented CPD Portfolio
  • Evidence of ability to work and interact effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Knowledge and application of evidence based practice and clinical reasoning
  • Demonstration of having initiated change of practice or process
Experience
  • Minimum of 24 months relevant post registration working experience as physiotherapist
  • Experience of a broad rotational scheme
  • Experience of working with patients with neurological and/or respiratory presentations
Desirable
  • Experience in student clinical supervision
  • Experience of working with patients with SCI in acute and/or rehabilitation settings
  • Experience in supervision of junior staff
  • Experience of working in the NHS
Special Circumstances
  • Ability to participate in on call / emergency working rota
  • Evidence of fitness and endurance to work in the physical environment of the clinical area
  • Self motivated
