We are currently recruiting for an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join our team at Prospero Teaching, working in a primary school located in Islington.

As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting students in Years 4-6 with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and those requiring support with sensory needs and challenging behaviour.

The curriculum is tailored to meet the specific educational, social, and emotional needs of the students, who are currently working at a Year 1-3 level. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Professional looking to work in a diverse and inclusive setting.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with a dedicated and supportive team, including two TAs and HLTAs already in place to assist you.
  • Deliver a multi-sensory curriculum to engage students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Provide targeted support for students with sensory needs, including those on a sensory diet and those with experience in visual aids, phonics, and Makaton.
  • Support students with ASD, SpLD, challenging behaviours, and those with complex needs.
  • Incorporate Zones of Regulation techniques to help students manage their emotions.
  • Liaise with professionals to conduct Annual Reviews and plan ongoing support.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working with students with sensory needs. Additionally, they should have experience delivering a multi-sensory curriculum and working with students with ASD, SpLD, and challenging behaviour.
