**Learning Support Assistant - Islington - ASAP Start - Outstanding School**

A Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary school in Islington is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full time, long term basis. Working hours are 8:30 - 4pm Monday to Friday.

**About the role**

The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide specialised 1:1 learning and behaviour support for a student who required additional assistant accessing the curriculum.

**Responsibilities**:

- Educate and engage the student in various activities to promote their development and learning.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement students EHCP
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other team members to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that is conducive to learning and play.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism.
- Knowledge of special education principles and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with individuals with special needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.

This position requires a strong commitment to education and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments.

**Pinnacle Learning compliance requirements include**:

- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or willingness to put one into process
- 2x professional references

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £85.00-£105.00 per day
