Job Title: Child Development Specialist

The NHS is seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join their team in East Surrey. As a specialist, you will work with children aged 0-19 who require occupational therapy services. Your primary goal will be to help these children reach their full potential by providing tailored therapy plans and support.

This role is perfect for an experienced occupational therapist looking for a new challenge or someone eager to develop their skills in community-based care. You will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including nurseries, schools, and homes, delivering individualized therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each child.

About the Role:
• Provide specialist assessment and treatment to children with complex needs
• Develop and implement child-centered therapy plans using evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with parents, other therapists, and professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
• Participate in training and supervision of junior staff and students

Requirements:
• 2 years of post-graduate experience in occupational therapy
• Strong background in working with children with varied and complex needs
• Membership in relevant special interest groups or clinical excellence networks
• Ability to reflect on performance and adapt to current best practices
• Planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

What We Offer:
£37,338 - £44,962 per annum + 5% HCAS pro rata
