Job Title: Practice Nurse Band 5

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Practice Nurse to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions. As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary healthcare services to our clients in military locations throughout the UK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in primary healthcare, with experience in working with military populations. You will be responsible for providing routine clinics, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care, and contributing to the development and implementation of programs of care/service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services to our clients in military locations
  • Provide routine clinics and assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs of care/service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) Level 1 with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Valid, in-date Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • Minimum of two years post-registration experience in PHC practice
  • Minimum of one year's post-registration in a Band 6 or higher grade in a Primary Healthcare (PHC) setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) certification
  • Immunisation and Vaccination Foundation Training and annual update e-learning training
Desirable Requirements:
  • Previous experience using the Defence Medical Information System (Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP)) and the DMS Automated Significant Event Reporting (ASER) system
  • Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) PHC experience
  • Experience of managing and ordering of stock in a non-dispensing practice environment
