About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Modelling Manager to lead our data science and actuarial teams in delivering cutting-edge data assets and predictive models that drive our market-leading pricing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee projects and modelling exercises that create and maintain analytical tools to support our technical models.
  • Develop best-in-class models to predict claims outcomes, fraud, and other key performance indicators.
  • Engineer powerful new rating factors to be deployed into our rating algorithms and understand their impact and value.
  • Identify, analyse, and monetise new data sources.
  • Mentor and manage junior members of the Technical Pricing team.
Requirements
  • Experience in predictive modelling using multiple model types, such as GLM and GBM, in a general insurance pricing environment.
  • Proficiency in creating models in Python or R and developing models using main data science libraries.
  • Keen interest in emerging machine learning techniques and their applications in insurance companies.
  • Natural problem-solving skills, innovation, and curiosity to spot new opportunities and engage senior stakeholders with excellent communication skills.
