Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Building Control Operations Manager to lead our Building Control service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing a small team of surveyors and leading on complex projects within the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team of Building Control professionals
  • Undertake licensed building regulation activities and work without supervision on domestic and commercial projects
  • Ensure adherence to the Building Act, Building Regulations, and directives from the Building Safety Regulator
  • Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structure call-out rota (standby allowance paid)
Requirements
  • Must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class F
  • Must have corporate membership of an appropriate professional body
  • Extensive experience in building control (minimum 5 years)
  • In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and allied legislation
  • Must have access to a vehicle for work purposes and be able to work from home
  • Good communication skills

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
