Job Title: Family Support Specialist

Salary: £37 per hour (assignment rate)

Location: Bolton

About the Role:

This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the complexities of Children's Social Services and be able to provide high-quality support to foster carers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Holding a case load of foster carers and carrying out statutory work, supervision and offering support to carers.
  • Working as part of a team and being part of the duty and back up service.
  • Undertaking visits to meet service needs.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children's Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Post qualifying experience in working with looked after children and ideally in the fostering service too.
  • Ability to operate a hybrid working arrangement with flexibility to be office based in Bolton or undertake visits to meet service needs.
