Job Title: Production Supervisor

At Sterling Pharma Solutions, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Deeside, North Wales. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Manufacturing Technicians to deliver client GMP production campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a team of Manufacturing Technicians to ensure the successful delivery of client GMP production campaigns.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing staff are suitably trained to support production operations.
  • Schedule day-to-day production operations to meet quality, safety, delivery, and client requirements.
  • Introduce and qualify new equipment and ongoing requalification to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Support the technical transfer from internal and external customers to establish production processes.
  • Ensure the completion of production documentation, including batch manufacturing records, equipment logbooks, and batch reports.
  • Generate production documentation, including batch manufacturing records and department standard operating procedures.
  • Support the delivery of the team's Quality Management System KPIs for deviations, change control, CAPAs, and periodic documentation reviews.
  • Provide training to the team and support staff in the production of client GMP campaigns.
  • Ensure the safety of direct reports and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Participate in new business development activities, including requests for information, proposal writing, audits, technical meetings, and embodying our company values.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in cGMP biologics manufacturing, ideally ADCs in a CDMO environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing of biologics bulk drug substances.
  • Working knowledge of drug fill finish would be advantageous.
  • Team management and supervisory experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in protein downstream unit operations and hands-on experience with Tangential Flow Filtration, Chromatography, Product Filtration, Process Solution Preparation, Filtration, and Storage.
  • Experience with aseptic procedures, systems, and equipment.
  • Experience working under GMP Quality Management System.
  • Highly organized person with demonstrated capability in planning and project management, planning execution of teams, materials, systems, qualifications, etc.
