Health and Safety Assistant

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of employees, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct site audits to monitor health and safety standards and prepare audit reports.
  2. Suggest and implement improvements on-site and monitor to ensure required actions are completed.
  3. Induct new starters to ensure they understand risks, methods, and standards expected when working on company sites.
  4. Check qualifications of erectors on site to ensure they meet or exceed minimum standards required.
  5. Carry out training and toolbox talks to educate site personnel and ensure they understand expected standards.
  6. Complete accident investigation reports.
  7. Prepare and alter RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) as required.
  8. Assist the Head of SHE as required with documentation, administration, training, and projects.

You will be a key operational asset, and we are looking for someone with:

Requirements:
  1. A good standard of education – preferably to higher education or above.
  2. Membership of IOSH.
  3. NEBOSH General (Minimum) and NEBOSH Construction (preferable) certified.
  4. A current UK driving licence and use of a personal car for work-related usage.
  5. A self-motivated and positive attitude with good communication skills and ability to deal with site installation teams, colleagues, senior management, and customers.
  6. Ability and willingness to work flexibly to suit the needs and demands of the role.
  7. A sound appreciation of health and safety practices on site (e.g., risk assessments, accident investigations, induction, and training etc.).

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to cement a long-term career in H&S for a culturally excellent organization with a very bright future. You will earn between £35,000 - £42,000 plus car allowance and full package.
