As a traded service, we offer SLAs to schools and other partners, while also fulfilling our statutory responsibilities. Our work contributes significantly to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND and informs the council's strategic initiatives.

Our team prioritizes the development of preventative, early intervention, and therapeutic approaches, with a focus on consultation, Dynamic Assessment, ACT, VIG, Narrative Approaches, ELSA/MELSA training and supervision, and research projects. We have a dedicated CPD budget for team-based training and external attendance.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £43,877 - £64,068 (Soulbury A Scale, points 3-8) + up to 3 SPAs, with essential car user status and HCPC fee payment. Full-time or part-time (0.6 FTE minimum) permanent posts are available.

Job Description

This role requires a self-motivated, well-organized individual with a good understanding of educational psychology opportunities. You will work autonomously, leveraging your strengths to develop casework into training opportunities that benefit a wider audience.

You will be part of a collaborative environment where colleagues encourage each other to innovate and upskill, leading to improved outcomes for children and young people.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key qualifications include registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and relevant experience in educational psychology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
