Job Title: Senior Legal Officer (Employment)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Officer (Employment) to join our Legal Employment Team in Scotland.

About the Role

As a Senior Legal Officer (Employment), you will be responsible for leading and developing the day-to-day provision of RCN Legal Services to members in Scotland, staff, and others. You will work alongside the in-house Legal Employment Team, Legal Management Team, and RCN colleagues in Scotland to deliver legal advice and representation to RCN members.

You will use your employment law knowledge and expertise to conduct a busy caseload, providing legal advice and representation to RCN members. You will also be responsible for supervising the development and casework of a newly established multi-disciplinary Legal Team in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the day-to-day provision of RCN Legal Services to members in Scotland, staff, and others.
  • Work alongside the in-house Legal Employment Team, Legal Management Team, and RCN colleagues in Scotland to deliver legal advice and representation to RCN members.
  • Conduct a busy caseload, providing legal advice and representation to RCN members.
  • Supervise the development and casework of a newly established multi-disciplinary Legal Team in Scotland.

We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience, and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
