Job Overview
Senior Android Graphics Developer
CV-Library is seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Graphics Developer to join its innovative Graphics Research Team in Staines-upon-Thames. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing high-performance graphics solutions for mobile devices, optimizing the Android OS graphics stack, and ensuring market-leading user experiences.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in low-level graphics and GPU development on the Android platform, with a strong understanding of computer graphics pipelines and modern GPU architectures. You will be responsible for innovating and optimizing real-time rendering pipelines for exceptional performance, implementing features and extensions for the Android Graphics stack, analyzing graphics workloads, identifying bottlenecks, and improving performance and power efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Innovate and optimize real-time rendering pipelines for exceptional performance.
  2. Implement features and extensions for the Android Graphics stack.
  3. Analyze graphics workloads, identify bottlenecks, and improve performance and power efficiency.
  4. Develop middleware libraries based on graphics and compute APIs such as Vulkan and OpenGL ES.
  5. Evaluate new devices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet user experience requirements.
  6. Take technical ownership of significant project components, translating complex requirements into detailed designs and implementations.

Required Skills & Experience
  1. Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
  2. Proven experience in real-time embedded software development, preferably in mobile devices.
  3. Expertise in computer graphics, with middleware development experience using Vulkan (preferred), OpenGL ES, or OpenGL.
  4. Strong understanding of computer graphics pipelines and modern GPU architectures.
  5. Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  6. System-level performance analysis skills and strong OS fundamentals (memory management, multithreading, etc.).

Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
