At East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated nursing professional to join our team in the treatment room service. As a General Nursing Career Opportunities candidate, you will be responsible for providing high levels of skilled nursing and patient care within our treatment room setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Skilled Nursing Care: Provide skilled nursing care of a set standard in the treatment room setting, ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.
- Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality at all times, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to our trust's policies and standards.
- Clinical Skills: Perform a high level of clinical skills, including wound care and leg ulcer management, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Collaboration: Liaise with nursing and non-nursing colleagues to create good working relationships, promoting effective communication and teamwork for the benefit of patients.
- Health Promotion: Be involved in health promotion and the prevention of ill health, working with patients to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent disease.
- Liaison with Specialists: Liaise directly with specialist Lower Leg Nurse/Tissue Viability regarding problem cases, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Documentation: Document and maintain records professionally and accurately, ensuring that patient records are up-to-date and reflect the care provided.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and quality within our trust.
- Equality and Diversity: Promote people's equality, diversity, and rights, ensuring that our services are inclusive and respectful of all patients.
- Complaints Handling: Provide responses to patient complaints, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Quality Improvement: Continually monitor standards of care and assist in the improvement of care, participating in benchmarking, audit, and research to drive excellence within our trust.
- Data Collection: Comply with policy and procedure in data collection and reporting, ensuring that our trust's data is accurate and reliable.
