About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the mechanical and electrical trade staff and specialist contractors, ensuring the proper allocation of work and completion of tasks in accordance with the performance monitoring system and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the mechanical and electrical trade staff and specialist contractors
  • Ensure the proper allocation of work and completion of tasks in accordance with the performance monitoring system and client satisfaction
  • Use the Maximo CAFM system to manage work orders and track progress
  • Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation levels and certify satisfactory delivery and completion
  • Monitor trade staff performance, time-keeping, and sickness in accordance with Company Policy
  • Provide estimates for quoted works, site measurements, cost control information, and maintain necessary records for effective administration
  • Undertake training and qualify as an Authorised Person and/or Competent Person as required
  • Work with tools as necessary day-to-day, during emergencies, and supporting staff
  • Participate in a call-out rota system to assist the Company in responding to emergency situations

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience
  • Significant experience in a building services environment with comprehensive mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally within a hospital environment
  • Team player with supervisory/management experience
  • Client-focused with a delivery-oriented and 'can-do' approach to work
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the various trade groups to be managed, i.e., building works, mechanical, and electrical engineering
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to obtain DBS clearance
